Foundation 0.1.4: Realm sheets and overland tools
Foundation 0.1.4 is available, with manual support for 2d6 Realm and new tools for drawing an overland map. Bring your own books, enter your own content, and keep control of the game.
A home for your Realm
The Realm icon opens six tabbed registers: the Realm ledger, Secrets and Legends, Buildings, Houses and Manors, Land, and Unclaimed Land. Entries use compact layouts, with expandable details when you need them.
- Create reusable Building, House, and Manor templates, then add or drag copies into your registers.
- Record current and maximum HP, Unrest, and notes.
- Keep Kaladear favor, permanently spent favor, blocked favor, and Corruption with the character. Existing ledger values remain available for review.
- Use the calendar aid for rounds, months, years, Town and Dungeon visits, and a manual end-of-round checklist.
Fabled weapons and Mythical armor
A new expansion tab at the far right of the character sheet gives these items their own space. Record runes, maneuver pools and prepared maneuvers, Extra Impacts, armor pieces, and Armor Enhancements. Drag and drop works here too. Equipping expansion gear changes the active sheet and snapshot displays while retaining the base equipment.
Draw your overland world
- Draw rivers, roads, and walls as editable paths that snap to hex centers and edge midpoints.
- Draw filled lakes and adjust path colors, widths, nodes, and notes.
- Fill Area land types with tileable terrain textures and optional color tints.
- Use the expanded landmark key for single-space Plot Land Types, with existing icons reused where appropriate.
These are editable sheets, templates, and player aids. Foundation does not include the books, their tables or creature statistics, or automatic Realm rules resolution. Lairs and Legendary Dungeon support remains available.

Foundation 0.1.3: Legendary, Lairs, and a cleaner tabletop
Foundation 0.1.3 brings manual support for Legendary Dungeon and Lairs, character and creature snapshot aids, and a complete cleanup of the tools on the right. Bring your own books, enter your own content, and keep the tabletop organized around the way you play.
Legendary Dungeon, ready for your records
Fill Legend Status to 10/10 and click its star to reveal the Legendary sheet sections: separate XP and Spectral Points, a five-pip Poisoned track, elemental immunity and vulnerability tags, Kaladear’s favor, Spectral Powers, crystals, and floor reminders.
Extra Impacts and Armor Enhancements are now editable Equipment types. Drag impacts onto a maneuver’s Primary or Secondary die, and enhancements onto armor. Your attached copies can be edited independently.
More flexible dungeon maps
Choose smaller Lair boundaries or a Legendary layout, switch between masonry and rough cavern walls, and erase a shared wall one tile at a time. A large dimension badge follows the cursor while you draw rooms and corridors. Find the presets and boundary controls under Maps → Layout & boundary.
Dice aids close at hand
The player and creature/NPC snapshots each have a paired 2d6 roll. Available Shift highlights maneuvers, and selecting a maneuver rolls its damage and supported bonuses. An optional defense preview lets you choose the defender, apply one eligible armor piece or interrupt, and record the final damage. HP, resources, conditions, and narrative effects remain in your hands.
A cleaner right panel
Results, Tables, Maps, Symbols, Equipment, Bestiary, and Inventory now share compact headings, search controls, and actions. Fold away categories and settings, edit inventory quantities directly, expand notes when needed, and use one permanent Add to inventory field. Selected room details stay above the room list.
Getting the update
Open Updates in the installed app, choose Download update, then Save and install. Foundation saves your open campaign before restarting. New players can join the Foundation mailing list to receive the Windows download link.
The source passed all 117 automated tests, typechecking, a production build, and focused checks of the redesigned tools. Foundation remains a player-operated workspace with editable templates and original examples; it does not bundle rulebooks or published game tables.

Foundation 0.1.1: Updates from the app
Foundation 0.1.1 adds in-app update checks for Windows. The app shows available versions, downloads them on request, and saves the current campaign before installing.
If you installed 0.1.0, download and install 0.1.1 from your Foundation signup email. Version 0.1.0 cannot update itself. Future releases can be checked and installed from the Updates button on the campaign screen or from Settings.
The 2d6 Dungeon setup remains a manual play companion for a player-owned book: dice, maps, journal, editable character and creature records, equipment, and personal tables. Game rules and book tables are not bundled or automated.
