Anvil and Loom, operated by T Guiles, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this storefront collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you place an order, contact us, or create an account, we may receive your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, order details, account information, and messages you send. The site and its hosting providers may also record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and security or access logs.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Anvil and Loom does not receive or store your complete card number or security code. Stripe receives and processes payment information under its own privacy policy and security practices.
How information is used
We use information to process orders, deliver digital purchases, fulfill and ship physical books, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain account and tax records, improve the storefront, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
Information may be handled by services needed to operate the store, including WordPress and WooCommerce, Stripe, our website host, email providers, and security or analytics services enabled on the site. For physical book orders, the recipient name, shipping address, and necessary order details are shared with Amazon and delivery providers to fulfill the order. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services.
Email subscriptions
When you join our email lists, we store your email address, chosen interests, subscription status, and confirmation records to deliver the updates you requested. Lists cover Anvil and Loom news, Novels, Storyweaver beta, and Tapestries playtesting. We ask you to confirm your email before activating a signup. Our email providers process messages for delivery. You can change your preferences or unsubscribe using the links in our emails. Purchasing a product does not automatically subscribe you to these lists.
Cookies
The site may use essential cookies to keep the store, cart, checkout, account login, and security features working. Payment and embedded services may set their own cookies. You can limit cookies through your browser, although some storefront functions may stop working.
Retention and security
Order and transaction records are retained as reasonably necessary for delivery, support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, security, or transaction purposes. You may also request help with an account or purchase.
Children
