Tapestries: The Oracle Collection

One prompt. Two worlds.

Smuggle + Refuge

The same two words can send you in very different directions. These are example interpretations of results found in the collection, not recorded random rolls.

Fantasy

A sanctuary under sail.

A fishing crew hides people in the hold and moves them between safe harbors. Tonight, a passenger carries something the crew cannot afford to shelter.

Science fiction

A place off the manifest.

A maintenance shuttle carries refugees into an abandoned station. Its automated systems have just registered a new arrival that nobody brought aboard.

Inspire. Integrate. Improvise.

More than an isolated result

Prompts that work together.

First Impressions

Roll a group of related tables to introduce a character, place, or thing. Read the results together and make connections. A name, a first look, and a disposition can suggest an encounter before anyone says a word.

First Impression tags highlight useful arrival information. Other tables help you discover what lies beneath the surface.

Depth tables

The dice determine how far into a table you can reach. Higher Depth opens more consequential possibilities while retaining the earlier results.

Use the table’s instructions and color-coded tiers to follow the roll. Let its result shape the fiction rather than treating it as a detached description.

The digital edition

Keep a world of prompts close.

A 6 × 9-inch PDF designed for reading and reference, with linked contents, bookmarks, a quick reference, and an alphabetical table index.

  • 196 pages, including opening and closing material.
  • Fantasy, science-fiction, and shared tables in one collection.
  • Facing-page arrangements for paired and extended tables.

Some Resolution tables contain references to mechanics found in Tapestries.

Do I need the Tapestries rules to use these tables?

Many tables provide prompts you can interpret in your own role-playing game. The Resolution tables include references to Tapestries mechanics; they are identified here so you know what to expect.

Is this a physical book?

This purchase area is for the PDF edition. Physical products are planned separately; stay tuned for the Tapestries Kickstarter.

Does this include Storyweaver?

No. The Oracle Collection is the PDF book. Storyweaver is a separate digital tabletop.

There is more on the horizon.

Stay tuned for the upcoming Tapestries Kickstarter.
